The Middle East

Fafo started it's research activities in the Middle East at the end of the 1980's. Still today, a substantial part of the Institute's total activities are found in this region. An array of issues have been studied, like mapping of living conditions, demography, impact of structural adjustment programs, poverty, the Israeli-Arab conflict, the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Palestinian refugees.

A brief overview of Fafo's Middle East research (in Norwegian).
