The food industry is a growing industry where digitalisation is developing rapidly. New technology and new equipment place ever-increasing demands on the competence of employees.
At the same time, statistics show a diminishing number taking continuing or further education. In 2019 61 per cent of NHO's member companies in the food industry reported unmet competence needs. The objectives of the project are to strengthen cooperation, increase competence transfer between the employees, ensure future competitiveness in each individual company and engage companies in appearing as attractive workplaces.
