Parenting courses as part of the introduction programme – a follow-up study
How are parents doing after mandatory courses/guidance in the introductory programme?
Fafo is conducting a follow-up study based on a former project on parenting courses during periods of high arrivals.
The study is aimed at revisiting parents who have participated in parenting courses/guidance in the introductory program a while after the course.
How do they benefit from the course, what challenges do they currently face, and how are these challenges met in the introductory programme and/or by other parts of welfare services?
This will be investigated by revisiting the case municipalities we visited in the original project. We will conduct new interviews with parents (whom we interviewed one to one and a half years ago) and with parent counselors and others in the refugee service/local welfare services.
