Union representatives - a gender perspective


The purpose of the project is to study union representatives and the careers of women and men in two LO associations with special emphasis on women's election careers.

Questions asked are what influence the choice between continuing or retiring, whether women are experiencing other challenges in the position than men, and how organizations may be able to meet these challenges in a way that allows more women, including women from minority backgrounds, to continue as union representatives.

The study thus addresses two central themes: representation / equality and instruments to ensure that more union representatives continue in their positions.
