The purpose of the project "Sustainable development indicators in China" was to strengthen policy formulation and governance through developing indicators of social and environmental sustainability in China.
Results paper
The project developed a set of indicators of sustainable development that merges traditional sustainability indicators with insights derived from the Nordic model.
It brought together a research team from Chinese Academy for Science and Technology for Development (CASTED), Fafo and Statistics Norway.
Ultimately, the project constructed a set of indicators which will be published regularly in China by CASTED on the webpage of China Sustainable Wellbeing Index - SWI
