This tabulation report presents the results from a panel survey conducted in 2019 and 2022 by The Fafo Institute for Labour and Social Research and the Université Abdou Moumouni, Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) Niger.
The survey targeted two groups of school-aged children living in Western Niger: Children with disabilities (CWD) and non-disabled peer children. In addition, we collected information about the children’s caregivers and households. The survey reached almost all children with moderate and severe disabilities in a rarely-studied and severely underdeveloped area. It provides unique information about the children and their households before and after the Covid-19 pandemic and enables comparison with non-disabled peer children. This tabulation report presents 227 tables with descriptive results regarding the children’s and their households’ education, health, social inclusion, maltreatment, time allocation, perceptions of life and future prospect, and risks and coping strategies related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
