A study of the Oslohjelpa in the district of Alna, Bjerke and Søndre Nordstrand

In this project, Fafo, in collaboration with Economics Norway, will study how Oslohjelpa is organized and works in three districts in Oslo.

Oslohjelpa is a free of charge, low-threshold service for children, young people and families introduced in all parts of Oslo from 2019. The ambition is to contribute to quick and appropriate help when needed.

This is a study of how Oslohjelpa is organized and works in three districts of Oslo, Alna, Bjerk and Søndre Nordstrand.

The overall question is: How and to what extent does Oslohjelpa contribute to ensure that children, young people and their families receive the right assistance as early as possible?

The methodological plan is complex, with both document studies, case studies in each of the districts and a survey to related services/actors.

Overall, the data will provide a basis for an analysis of Oslohjelpa as part of an overall effort for early intervention, improved and coherent services children, young people and their families.
